Aerys and Rhaegar

The Mad King and the Silver Prince. Two characters who are dead when the story begins but who are mentioned and remembered regularly throughout the books.

Doreah and Mirri Maz Duur

Doreah, the handmaiden given to Dany to teach her the "womanly arts of love", and Mirri Maz Duur, a Lhazareen godswife who betrays Dany.

Irri and Jhiqui

Dany's handmaidens.

Irri was given to Daenerys to teach her how to ride a horse, and Jhiqui to teach her the Dothraki tongue.

These characters don't survive very long in the television show but are still around as far the books are concerned.

Rakharo and Aggo

The dragon queen's bloodriders.

The books don't really go into much detail about the individual appearances of Dany's Dothraki followers. I try my best to take what little info is given and use that as a base to give each character their distinguishing characteristics.

Jorah and Jhogo

An exiled knight and a bloodrider.

In the show Ser Jorah is played by Sir Iain Glen, who most would agree is a fairly handsome man. In the books, Ser Jorah is not usually described in a flattering light and Daenerys herself notes that she does not consider him to be a handsome man.

Viserys and Illyrio

The Beggar King and the Cheesemonger.

Not long ago I polled my followers on Instagram which Game of Thrones faction should I draw after the Starks, and they chose the Targaryens.

Turtles Cover Illustration

Turtles Track & Field is a sporty webcomic I used to work on regularly back in 2015-2016. I came up with the idea during the brief time I attended SCAD.

Below is a Turtles cover illustration that I made as a part of a project for a class. It was created with ink on hot press bristol and I remember being really happy with how it turned out. I tried adding colors multiple times to the illustration at various points in 2015 and 2016 but was never pleased with the results. Digital coloring was still pretty new to me at the time and I hadn't grown comfortable or confident with it yet.

2015

Below is my most recent attempt at coloring the illustration. In 2020 my coloring skills are finally at a place where I can usually color my art in a satisfying way. It's fun revisiting these older illustrations with my current skillset and breathing new life into them through color.

Discuss Thrower Sketch

Going through my old work from 2010 I found this drawing I did of one of my teammates from the track team at RIT. Ten years later, and I still think it's pretty cool drawing, but that's mostly because it's based on a really cool photo taken of him.

Below is the original drawing from 2010. Pencil and ink pen on vellum, touched up in Photoshop.

Next is the original drawing colored with Copic Markers. Back in 2010, I was obsessed with Copic Markers.

Finally, this is the drawing colored digitally in Photoshop, using my current coloring style in 2020.

2010 - 2019

Before I begin posting newer work on this blog, I figured I should show off a little bit of my older work. Here's a quick look at my art throughout the past decade.

New Website!

Hello, everyone! I'm Cameron, or just Cam if you like. I'm a cartoonist who enjoys drawing comics and illustrations. I'm also working on an indie video game called Odicia.

Welcome to my new website! I mainly plan to share my work in comics and illustration here, but I'll likely bring up the video game from time to time as well. Be sure to check out the Art Gallery in the menu bar above. There you can see collections of some cool illustrations I've created in recent years. If you'd like to support my work as an artist, consider subscribing to my Patreon!

Below is a fairly recent self-portrait that was a part of my family's Christmas card this past December. Thanks for stopping and reading! Come visit again, soon!
